Taoist Lineage
A question I hear as a Taoist Teacher
- What is your Lineage...
Lineage is of the heart...
In that we are all of and meld into the same Lineage.
You should never have to ask or need to say more: if you are true in Taoist practice.

I don't think I've ever been asked that question in ANY context. I'm not even sure I understand it. Why would somebody ask that?
Over the years I have been asked this since as a Taoist Teacher people are curious to which school or line I teach from...
People ask since people are people.
They desire connection.. Some want to know who was your Master or teacher was to validate the Taoist style by the line of teachers you hail from.
From my perspective it makes me laugh since it can be a bit childish when others in Taoist practice get stuck in pride of lineage.
Really it just is: another chance to help teach others:
that we are all one of heart
and answers should always expand one's connections to the world
