Monday again

Noticing it is Monday again

days circle around

in the orbit of my life, doesn't matter which day it is, when you live:

it is always today.

Yesterday now... well that is another story. Mina tried to climb the plumbing, ( a strange ladder like towel heater device, which came with the house, that no one liked at all). Anyways it snapped off the wall, spewing water to flood the back of the house.

I could paint a fabulous story of the confusion in the first few minutes of the new fountain in the bedroom. I supposed it could have been fun to surf in this for a bit before turning the water off.

It was a standard timeless moment of chaos as the family sorted out details.

5 hours later it finished off swimming under the house rather than surfing in the bedroom to finish fixing plumbing.

Another quiet Sunday of chores.

Days are like that, they like to remind of us patterns in our life.. Which is why I don't give much attention to the actual day. The chaos of not knowing the day is more enjoyable than the chaos of a Day trying to impose into you how it should flow and then ordering you about to fit accordingly...

Tomorrow well... it will circle around. Supposedly it claims to be Tuesday but I suspect it might be Thursday in disguise...

I think the greatest bit of wisdom my mother passed on to me before her death was -- Shit happens!

Things break or don't work as they're supposed to. People don't always behave or react as we expect. It rains, snows and blows. People die.

So, when people say something like, "Why did THIS have to happen today?", I remember my mother's words.

I ask myself, "When would it be convenient for the car to breakdown or the plumbing to go out?" And the answer is that it's never convenient; it's simply part of life.

The funny thing its all enjoyable in its own way.

Once you let go to the moments, it all flows well. It's important to listen , stop and be part of the situation.

Mina was ok and everything that needed to happen, happened...

A more interesting part is as a parent to make sure there is balance in the response to my daughter, Mina, so she can learn from the situation. To discover balance... That is the trickier part. To (1) see parents naturally in the event, not to over react but also (2) to have some reaction for her to learn from. It's that second part which is trickier for a Taoist. Since we are teaching most within these edgier moments of our life.

It made the situation more interesting: since in life we play within so many roles we fill and depending on the role we in part do shift some of our responses for the benefit of others.

It's important to remember we are "playing" in those roles. But sometimes we don't want to play too much either...

so it goes :) LOL
