Back to Busy: Part II

In the middle of making an offer for a place today.

Hopefully, it will go well. It would be a great place to teach from and live, but it is also at the edge of what would be feasible for us to make happen. I know by acting in kindness the larger world returns our actions of kindness. I will trust to that. I always have and always will.

In every thing we do, we trust to both fate and kindness. If we do not act in kindness how can I think the world could act otherwise. If you fight a person they will fight you back. If you offer reasonable kindness the world will return respect in kind.

We trust to what is now. Not working to expectation. Just working each day to make what is possible into what we do

Haunting

What is a haunted spot?

Its a place of restlessness... A place of being unable to come to terms with oneself. As a result it's a place that stirs up the heart in reflection. Often times it's fear being reflected in the transaction.

In full acceptance of heart, you would not feel haunting but instead be one in peace with the place and help it too find connection and acceptance.

I help many haunted people find completeness. The answer is always acceptance.

The tricky part is in the path one decides to take to acceptance: this is the part that takes time to excise.

I think our society has become a haunted spot. A place designed to invoke fear on purpose. That is very sad indeed.

Let it Be

The world is the world

People need to be... Human...

Never ever be a savior to another... to do so means to define others and take them further from their own truth.

We can help guide others,

but in heart -> to their own path always.

The world is a cascading waterfall of human expression. Enjoy and accept it as such. Lending helping hands along the way, but in acceptance rather than definition.

Modern Healing

One problem of Modern Healing Techniques and Psychiatry is how they view the process of healing.

Modern processes work towards healing a person to some outside defined state of being.

This is a terrible method for those who are different than "standard" norms. Cures are handled as one size fit all solutions.

I teach how to fully embrace life, To me it isn't about finding a "cure", as much as being a guide to help a person to fully live to their own defined true nature. To be complete not by outside standards but within your own nature.

In my opinion psychiatry and many other modern healing methods miss the boat as they try to "cure" you to a outside state of being as "defined by society"... Any definition by society is a definition that is one that is often used to control others to fit into society. For many people that is actually the worse place to be and not a true healing. In other words the modern world has lost its heart in the healing practices. Modern Healing techniques while powerful can also be the source of how people lose their freedom of life.

When ever you work with any healer it's always important to hold "space" for yourself, to hold true to your own nature and form. Otherwise you are at risk of being harmed more than helped by others who mean might mean well but end up forcing you to be something you are not.

Quiet

Things are too quiet...

• Not that what we see happening in the economic world is quiet.

Things are too quiet... People are being more silent than normal

• Not that people aren't speaking up or helping others...

No, what I mean is this: In listening to the world around me, by those I know as part of my heart, with everyone I share in my life. The vibrations in the daily web of life have been too quiet of late.


If the forest by which I measure life is being extra quiet... that tells me something larger is afoot.

Be careful out there.

Looking at Taoism

Now when I talk about Taoism, don't think in terms of religion or philosophy.

Think in terms of what it is that you desire to become in life. Taoism teaches life.

Religion and philosophy are just categories people place on teachings, to limit and control others. Taoism doesn't care about any such human defined boundaries. Instead it just dives into issues of the human heart and teaches it all equally.

I use much language that crosses over religion or philosophy only becuase being human, those are references we have in our life to use. As a Taoist Teacher I don't limit myself to either. Instead as a Taoist we explore the potential of being human and actually beyond that statement.

A Time of Change means to Change

In the current Chaos, Julie and I decided to stay true to our own path. To be quiet and just help each other in heart, helping friends one at a time to find their heart.

This is the only answer that makes sense any more.

While we were always working to this goal. This last week or two was a reminder as everything seems to get less and less sure at a larger level. This is a time to get more and more sure about enjoying and living our own life fully present to what we love: living to heart.

Its not time to create waves within a larger hurricane of turmoil that is now about.

The solution we have faith in is: to be the eye of harmony, in our own hearts quietly and patiently, to working outward in this fashion. We won't stand against the storm, we just won't be present at all for the storm to touch us. We will give no power at all to anything connected to the larger storm. To be free of it totally.

Time to shift our thinking out from the larger game all together isn't it?

Time to shift it to our own rules of peace.

The global choice is simple. Not to live globally but instead locally

We can live to global crisis or local transformation.

We choose local transformation of the heart.

Economic Advice from a Taoist

Perspective for now

My business is helping people in spirit. What bothers me most about how people work in my field is they never define spirit fully. They leave it with loose definitions, which ensure that the people they help come back for more. I suppose that’s a great business plan, selling something which never exhausts. But it really doesn’t help people.

The first thing I did many years ago was to define spirit very simply. In a way anyone could connect to and work for.

Spirit represents the movement of your life, and the destination is to live as "you". Be it “Donna”, “Casey”, “Angela” etc. We live to be ourselves. It's that simple. So in being a “spiritual” worker the starting point means I help a person find happiness in how to be themselves.

Very simple, don't make it harder than it has to be.

This applies right now, since so many people define themselves to the “power” of money. We use money to do things, buy things and we then define ourselves to those things we accomplish to the money. So when we take blows like this market delivers… It translates into a big hammer blow to our very spirit. Because it crushes spirit, it stops our movement. Remember spirit=movement of our life. This stopping of movement further reduces our spirit and diminished us even more. This creates a negative feedback loop, which causes depression and other problems.

Right now, my job is simple: it’s to remind my friends here to smile :) that is the fastest easiest way to make a difference no matter how bad it gets. The second step is to move with your life, talk to others, share, go out for a walk, jog, Qi-gong , yoga, bike riding, go to a beach… This movement helps to re kick start your spirit.

Right now and always the money is always secondary in how to live your life. This time is a reminder for that. I enjoy money as much as anyone. The difference is I just don’t follow it, I use it as I need, relative to how much I have.. BUT the movement of my life always follows my smile first :) . In that way I always find wonder

Then once you do that, once you re-kick start yourself.. If you want to invest then go back in, follow Bills advice and kick the heck out of this market and enjoy it fully. None of us have lost here, the game is only started, This is the first quarter, third inner etc…

If you want social equity there are many ways to do it, But always always always remember to move to your life first! Investment always follows a person's life.

Defined By Economics

Any economic system isn't about money, money is just one of many mediums of exchange in the system.

Rather all economic systems are a statement of power.

But more importantly, any statement of power: is actually a reflection of how people measure each other. It's about human nature. This means as people we model how we work to the economic world based on our views of each other.

Right now, It's a good time to switch out of the older economic models to examine what is happening in the economic world by basing what we are seeing to other human models of behavior.

One based on abusive relationships:
If the current economic system is a reflection of us, it sadly seems to be a reflection of an abusive relationship right now. Where we the people are being beaten on purpose for control purposes.

The only way safe way to deal with an abusive relationship is either throw the abuser into jail (which isn't happening), to leave or to stand firm turn the tables around and take personal control.

Two people fight:
In being about power, it is pretty clear larger people are now fighting economically in this mess. I think in effect we are seeing economic war occurring.

It isn't safe to live in any war zone. It can be profitable if you know what you are doing. But personally, I have no desire to be in the open as they begin to consider throwing economic nukes about.

Three based upon your own life:
If you based your lives values on this current system... and as it tanks, as it is manipulated by behind the scenes forces, being 100% rigged against the average person.

How will you ever recover your personal self worth, when basing your life upon a system designed to beat you at the start?

Isn't that a system which the only way you can win, is to walk away from?

Start Fresh

My point is never to tell anyone what to do. In fact I am doing something different. I am encouraging people to look at the current system differently. To base your assumptions and what you see now on other models of human behavior. See how it applies to your life and adjust accordingly to improve your life.

When I look at any system which deals within human values. The questions I ask myself are

• What I can learn about myself?
  
• How can I help others?
  
• How do I need to shift in order to improve myself?

My real point here is this:

As everything changes: How should you base your new world view? Upon what the talking heads on the television tell you it should be... Or what you see in your own life and then correcting accordingly to improve your life.

Do you see the difference?

You either are led by the system... or take your own lead.

We each must understand: social equity is based upon how everyone views the economic system and the choices made upon that system. If it's to change to the better, we also must change, otherwise we just re-enforce the older patterns simply by how we spend money.

When desiring to improve, we each have to act accordingly and personally for it to become socially applicable and equalize out for the average person and yourself.

Otherwise, playing to the old rules or how the talking heads spin it: you will simply lose your shirt and at the current rate a bit more than bargained for.

Personally I am pulling all the way out for this reason. While not much. It's what in my heart and that does make a difference so I will follow it rather than the talking heads.

People prize what is hidden and rare

People think to be strong, is to never let go, to never let one reach this state of being... People are wrongly taught that release is a statement of weakness.

Even people like the Dali lama hit days like this...

To hold peace in the soul is to experience
the limits of your soul both high and low...

At times we all re become as a child again.

Know this secret

when your time comes along:
Take the time to accept: re becoming a child again.
To start again fresh with new eyes and new heart

This is what it is to become born again.
It isn't to get lost into a new religion
That teaches you the words you seem to lack in your heart!

It's to embrace your heart. Don't confuse the messenger as the key to your own heart. Instead It's to get lost in new wonder of how you are connected into life itself. You are your own key...

Always.

If you are here: then know this time is a time to be re-born as yourself... not as how others tell you to be.

Why should you repeat the past mistakes of your past childhood in your new childhood.

Use the old inner adult to guide your new child to become who this time You would like to be.

To be free.

Guiding Others

Being a spiritual guide is a fine art. It requires grace to guide a person to find peace in their own spirit. These are a few important points that people often overlook when finding a spiritual guide or when helping others find spiritual peace.

1) A spiritual guide teaches a person to trust their own heart first and foremost in their life. Every person is the expert in how to be themselves. So Taoist teachers give outside perspective to help smooth the process but will never let the student they're guiding lose sight of the path within their own heart.


2) The person you are helping will make mistakes! We do our best to avoid the biggest mistakes... To heal a person is often to let people make smaller mistakes. People often learn more from the mistakes than being right. We don't stop moving forward becuase of the risks, we move forward do the best in love and work towards better relationships as issues come up one at a time.

3) You can't save another person. See number (1). Don't think you are being a life guard here. Every person needs to work out problems on their own terms. Other wise people can't truly transform. In other words you can help guide a person but they still have to walk their own path.

When I help guide others, I help them pass the rougher points but they still do the work. I am not the one transforming, I am being aware and assisting instead. It's a very delicate process, and you will be tempted to help more than you should since you know what they are facing. However, everyone needs to make the process their own to truly transform.

Life of a poet, Life as a Taoist Teacher

I am a poet

Life is hard but good here in Hawaii. We live day to day, and are making it. Day by day. The hardest leap I ever made and the best place and move I ever made. This is our home.

If I would live as the typical wage earner life style, this would be scary life, beyond scary and I never would have leaped to live this life. Since I never know how the puzzle pieces all fit together in order to survive to tomorrow.

I figure out how to make it all work a day at a time, but we will, becuase it is home.

For this reason I am a Taoist as I live in the now. Never the past or the future. I make it work, becuase my Taoist practices let me accept myself fully now and permits me to figure out each day how best to live.

I live in a way many people envy since from their perspective I am free, but in reality not many people can let go of the future to live freely now. So instead of being envious they really need to work on enjoying what they do have.. as it is the choice they did embrace for their life.

The thing about being a poet is , it's always on edge, always at risk as I have to paint my life newly every day. As a result for many others this would be the harder road.

Accept your nature to walk your road with proper wonder.

I have no choice in my path since for me to truly taste life, is to be on this edge and not as someone else paints it.

Never be envious of another person lifestyle...
Accept yours and make it the most it can be.

This is the one thing that always bothers me, when people get envious of my life, when I know if they lived my life, it would be truly the most unhappy thing they would experience, as it wouldn't fit their heart truly.

I make my life seem wonderful.. because for me it is...

When I share my life, it isn't to teach how to live my life... it's to help give others new angles on how to expand their own life from their own perspective in a better way.

All of this means...

I am a Taoist Teacher.

That means I teach of the heart to follow one's heart.

I do this since it's how I live, it's the only thing I truly know how to share.

To live to the Tao, is to understand our lives are undefined, and it's our actions and how we embrace those actions which full fill the meaning of life.


Countless ways exist to express the path to the Tao, in fact there are currently 8 billion paths to the Tao...

Take the time to enjoys yours as yours.

That's the simple trick to switching a hard life into one worth living. The act of embracing and enjoying it for what it is.

In the end this is one reason I teach Taoism is about acceptance...

Teaching Taoism

A student of mine wrote this most beautiful statement

I can give my energy to helping another as a part of the one, with love and kindness. But I do not have to give more of myself than I have to offer. And I will not feel less or inadequate if what I offer is not enough.


Wisdom is patience.

These words show wisdom of patience. Such patience in kindness teaches a person how to maintain strength which will not diminish. This is the strength that can and does change the world.

Always remember kindness is also balanced to your needs and nature. This isn't always easy but when connecting to this truth, it leads to making the impossible possible and gives deeper guidance needed to be... true to the heart and have peace with the Tao .

When a person starts walking this path: the focus on inner truth will waver, come and go over time, as we learn to hold it without effort. It's fine to let it waver, as the wavering is part of the journey to give you more perspective to grow from. Never force inner truth: otherwise you break against your own nature. Flow to it with practice. Then the acts of kindness become clearer you become stronger not in strength but within holding action... This is the path seekers yearn for when trying to discover an universal peace of being one.

This is powerful stuff: hold it lightly to embrace it fully. As a small candle flame in the wind, not to rush, but kept alive with patience in moving forward. In time, when time is matches to your own time, you reach the fire hearth to alight the full fire truly.

When I teach, I don't teach a book: I guide a person to live to their heart: teaching practices of patience and acceptance. This is something we each write for ourselves. That is the inner truth of creating a beautiful life.

History: Truth and Crisis: Part 3

Tomorrow morning could be a historic day: (today for most everyone reading this and the crisis being the economic system being on edge of ... )

This eve the big question is: which way will fate tumble it's dice today.

Did the controlling powers:

• misjudge how far they could push crisis?
• will dominoes continue to topple?
• will rulers inject enough mojo to stem tides of monetary bleeding...

Will tomorrow just be another day?

Make no mistake, history is not about facts, it's about what the winners write. Tomorrow's crisis is all about what fiction is required to re-engineer new rules.

Tomorrow will happen as it happens.


For me tomorrow is yesterday, past gone now...

You see the sun will come up. I will watch it come over my window, starting in dark steel grey as I will be up at 5 am to make phone calls. I will stumble about, move quietly as not to wake my family and just quietly help along those who I call friend. At roughly 6:07 am the sky will turn to golden red fire as the sun peaks about. Then together, to share our light and continue to live...

Just living my life as I do every day.

As I read through news, financial reports and trends tonight... it's just for curiosity since we as humans are so very creative in how we change the world around us to be fiction rather than about life.

But after reading thru all the tales here is my shortened take within a poem written for the events. A brief synopsis of what to expect.

As stocks tumble
Chains rattle.
Pulling into sight
machinery powering massive bailouts
kicking about smoke and show
happening boldly

The day "tomorrow" is saved...
The sun comes up, hope abounding in its light
As ruler priests smile
by fixing liberties re-chained ever more tightly
to fractal dragons of fractional reserve paper magic
within a wonderful illusory paper castle
of 750 billion and ever expanding... folding dollars

Be careful, be aware.
Watch not magicians in this show.
Leave the audience without panic
Empty the wallet of paper dragons
Otherwise to discover the rattling came
as a newly shodden ball and chain
we ourselves bought and placed
upon our very own bared feet!

It's possible to disconnect from this system. Not by leaving, but just by living your life simply to your own path... Really , seriously... its not about dropping out, its just about living your own life.

You still do have that option if you don't ball and chain yourself to paper dragons...

Enough of these financial crisis posts... I have been watching it since so many people I help are tied into this system. The important point being the word "tied". Know it's always possible to remove "ties" by careful choices on how you live your own life. You can live it to crisis and burning paper dragons... or you can live it to your heart. Don't confuse the light of the burning paper dragons to be the light of your own heart, otherwise you will get burned.

I have beaten this point down now enough. It's time to move on again. I am starting to sound like a broken record. That means it's just time to change my tune again and return to writing poetry about fall.

The Sun came up, the day was saved... and now

Well now the choice is yours... This is a warm up show for what will come in the next few years. You have time to decide if it's what you want to really tie your life to or to be free of it... The choice may not be as easily available later...

I wonder what my friends here think, but myself I am back to poetry.

Had this young child at Mina's swim lesson come up to me, "uncle uncle uncle look at me swim" and he then proudly showed me.

Uncle and Auntie are terms of respect to adults in the community here.

The truth is:

we are all family here

Truth and Crisis: Part 2

We are seeing a crisis based economy in full swing now. The higher powers will now use crisis after crisis to beat governments and people to their timings.

Today's Stock Market crisis is a perfect example on how an elite few are using crisis to beat people and governments down. Once getting what they want, it will magically turn around, things will be good for a period: a year or two even... and then the hammer will come down again with the next crisis for profit.

I teach Taoism and help people resolve Crisis. This is how I make my living to help free people from the bullshit of crisis, of not having the power to become what you desire to be, to help a person to transform rather than break down to fear and crisis.

It doesn't make a difference what type of crisis you are having: How you resolve it is always the same. You stop living to fear, you start actions which are directly tied to your life and move forward. The truth on how to get around crisis is so simple. The reason it's hard to escape crisis is because people get paralyzed by fear or they act too rashly and lose everything... or so they think. ( I teach otherwise, since if your heart is warm, then you have light to follow)

As a guide, I lend my hand to show others fear is an illusion and how to dispel it. It is always possible, ALWAYS, to turn crisis around to transformation.

Letting go of fear is the hardest part of resolving crisis.

So the question becomes how do you let go of our economic system which is based in crisis and then forces you to live to its beating. Within a society that constantly injects fear into people, which always puts a person one step behind in letting go of fear!

You see the first mistake people make is: they think they have to solve the larger problems outside of themselves in order to resolve their own crisis.
SO NOT THE CASE.

That is part of the trap of the current system, You are tricked into thinking you have to be politically and economically active to fix the system. And becoming so neutralizes you, since the system is designed to keep you down and not effective. You cant fixed a larger system by its rules when the rules are rigged against change and transformation.


Nope, It's the reverse actually.

To let go of the crisis based system is to live to your own heart and transformation. It's to work with friends and family and improve your life locally. To drop outside the politics and buying into the bigger system, which is geared not to be sustainable, and as a result wears any person inside the system down .

I have been helping so many people do this and it does work. There isn't a guide book telling how to do each step, since it's based on your life. I guide each person in their own terms so the answer fits perfectly into their life.

You see thats another trap of the current culture. Teaching you that general solutions work.

Bullshit!

The solution is based on each of our hearts.

Each person needs to walk their own path and care towards that within kindness. If you truly live to your heart, your steps are your own and shared with those who we love. That is love, to share in life's journey to become more. People like myself help you find that personal path and after some simple guidance each person discovers their own way. If you truly listen to your heart, then you need no outside guide. I just help people re-connect truly to their heart, which is a case by case process.

We don't have to worry about fixing the politics or the larger problem, IN fact its is better to turn it off and tune into your own life, make friends, work locally and work towards yourself becoming kinder and more open to exploring your life now. They are empowering you to do just that by creating these crisises!

So take advantage of their offer... and walk away from their crisis!

It can be that simple. If you choose to make it so.

Truth and Crisis

Such an interesting topic: crisis.

We live upon the crux of crisis today and everyday in the new economic realities.

The current crisis is a example of a economic war won and played out in manners never before seen. We the people have been conquered... I tip my jester cap to the new powers to be. Who since 1913 have slowly worked their way towards a new world power base. Since longer than that really.

As such I am not writing about future portents. This merely is a statement as things are right now.

The truth of crisis is simple: if you live within and subscribe to a social system based upon crisis your life will follow crisis also.

To experience change, to transform is become something new. Once the economics are locked down we are locked in...

or so it seems

Doors out still exist... Just be open to figure out your own truth in these times of engineered crisis.

My one request is don't base life on crisis... Base life on what is meaningful to you..., rather than chasing the shifting numbers, riggered and jiggered to keep people dancing.

NOW the Important part:

The current economic system is based upon crisis!!!

To follow it means to base your own life upon crisis.

IS that really a way to live in a way that is healthful and meaningful?

Seriously think about this point for a moment!

The current economic system is based upon crisis.

After you ponder that, ponder how it effect/affects your life to follow such a system.

Do you see the difference? I am speaking from personal experience since I am already moving again elsewhere and this no longer concerns me... I personally have de-couple my life from crisis based lifestyle. I just wanted to share some perspective since I found it interesting in retrospect looking back and seeing that truth and realizing how successfully the new economics are tied into the business of crisis and by default how that ripples into so many lives, which I have been helping pick up of late.

To be a Taoist is to live your life,
not to chase somebody else's engineered disasters.

I have been watching this since the 70's, been learning and very silently pondering how not to get trapped in such a system. Over the past 5 years, I have gotten a bit more vocal sharing truths to help people out of such a system... But strangely, very few are willing to find escape.

A lifeguard cannot rescue a person who doesn't desire to be saved. If you realize these truths, the way to stop this from happening isn't to try to save the world. The process I am talking about have been in place for many generations.

The truth of how to reverse this is the opposite. We share heart, one heart in our unity of being alive.

If you truly want to save the world, be true to your heart, be kind, and reach out in kindness from your heart fully. If you do this openly, you touch not one person, but the entire world in kindness.

Are you strong enough to be kind and true to your own heart? This is the truth of how to resolve crisis and turn it into transformation of peace.

I share several Tao Te Ching translations on my site, so it is always available to others.

The Tao Te Ching is open for everyone, I don't quote from it on purpose. Enough other people do that. I strongly believe, each person should read it and over time discover their own truth from the words. Why should I impose my own limits on it towards another person!

It's beautiful becuase of the way it directly connects to each person as poetry.

I will never treat the Tao Te Ching as a Bible to recite. For me, that would be disrespectful of other people's inner truth and the wonder of each person to find peace to the words with that truth :)

If I were to quote the Tao Te Ching, people would use that to justify their actions, using my words. A Taoist doesn't impose their own judgments upon another.

The Tao Te Ching is a holy book in that it does speak to each persons heart in their own translation of being. How can I ever be in the middle of that?

Instead I play with words from my heart, share life from my time since that is what I have to offer.

The Tao Te Ching is already fully there for anyone to use.

Addendum

I would like to add I think its great that others quote the Tao Te Ching and other works as they explore what it means. I am not saying you should not quote the Tao Te Ching etc, if that is what you need to do, in exploring your Heart, then you should. As a Student it's a great exercise to do so.

The only time I object to people quoting Holy works is when "teachers" use holy works to prop themselves up behind. Which I think we see too often.

I do help others translate and understand these works when they directly ask me to.

I don't "teach" directly by texts on purpose. It's a very conscious choice of mine as a teacher to keep those works as pure as possible for my students. This permits them to concentrate most on what it means from their own heart. When I work one on one with a student, I can easily guide them , since I have connection to their heart and make sure I guide instruction purely for them... So when they ask for translation I can do so from a pure intent and closer to their heart.

But I rarely generalize this out for others on a larger scale for these reasons also.

Nature and Kindness

A friend mentioned a statement today: Nature is Unkind...

This statement could easily be mis-understood. I would like to dive into it for a minute.

Nature isn't unkind...

everything nature does is "in kind"

However...

People can be unkind, when not living to their own life ...
When living to be something they are not... This is the true "un - kind" act, that then ripples out to hurt others

That is the reason ego... is a problem. While ego on its own isn't bad.. the trouble is that ego is a form of projection. Ego often takes projection too far, projecting outward in a fashion that takes people out from being their true nature.

That is the source of true pain... becoming something you are not.

Manifesting Potential

We may have found the right spot to buy and start building our longer term temple finally.

Not often I ask others for help, but...

Please keep your fingers crossed and help us manifest this, It will take some luck and timing will be important on if this happens, becuase other offers could be ahead of us.

We are excited, going to verify in a few hours the land and units and then work on putting together a proposal tonight / over the next day or two...

Keeping fingers crossed that it all flows smoothly and we make the deadlines etc. One thing about building temples on shoe string budgets, is trusting to fate being part of the special spirit and whimsy of the larger world to support the process.

Addendum

We checked it out. While it has tremendous long term potential, we had to balance out the short term needs. To make the long leaps , you have to be in shape to work now and make the single steps work also.

The place required too much short term investment up front to make it practical choice.

It was wonderful 6 acre spot, but the main building needed to be torn down completely and we couldn't transition a temple on the lot in the shorter term to make it be practical in a years time.

So it goes the right spot will turn up in time as we keep our eyes and heart open to the right potential to expand into reality.

This is art, and in art one must flow rather than force to fruition.
