Religion is faith
Magic is perception

The new site looks nice. I haven't made it much past the first few pages, but well done!
Hi my names Chris and I'm very interested in your page and taoism in general.
The only taoism teachers in my area are charging around £1000 for week long reatreats and thats out of my price range so I was wondering if your could recommend any good books to start me off.
There were also some general questions I have and I would value your insight and input.
My e-mail address is cricklepitt@yahoo.co.uk.
Thanks in advance.

Wow! You have a great site! Thanks, it's so refreshing to read your entries in PersonalTao.com.
Keep up the good work!
The near death of my father threw me into extreme turmoil recently, causing me to re-evaluate virtually everything in my life.
What does one do when a man one feels so connected to is dying on another continent?
I was on the verge of switching continents, ditching family here for family there. Pitching my tent on his doorstep. Itching to save him from himself and all of Africa in between.
What causes such extreme self abandonment?
If this isn't an ‘out of the body' experience then what is?
I'd like to thank my friend Casey Kochmer for walking by my side throughout this process. Casey never said ‘go' or ‘stay' he simply said, ‘be'.
Be who you really are.
Naturally this leads to deep reflection: Who am I, essentially? Under all the layers of self-deception, what really makes me happy?
The sun on my face; a fire to look into; wild berries in my garden; a smile from a neighbour; my son doing cart wheels; the purring of my cat…
I'd like to thank Casey for putting a Personal Tao out into the universe. Even though I was looking at 200 million other things at the same time, Casey's book Personal Tao served and continues to serve as a sea anchor throughout this period.
It's a book to be dipped into, not read cover to cover. And, even though I've hardly dipped beneath its surface, it's touched me deeply.
Personal Tao is a grounding experience. A path back to oneself through poems, paper aeroplanes, experiencing, art…it's a way to press ‘pause' and reconnect with who you really are. The simplicity of being ..the perfection of a healing smile from a complete stranger…
One day I'll have a loo with a view. And a hammock nearby with a hand-crafted edition of Personal Tao tucked permanently in it.
The gentle touch of a friend. A smile
from the other side of the world.
does water resist its journey to the sea, ascent to the clouds and return to the earth ?
I think water just remains wet for the entire journey :)
I'm so sick of religion I could puke -- especially Tao from the Chinese and Talmudic Judaism from the Khazars -- two sects which are in fact helping the Bush communists disassemble America and plunge the world into darkness.
THE SUM OF ALL MANKIND'S TRUTHS IS LIES!
The sum of mankinds truth: is to be a man.
For good and for bad.
If you read any of the Taoist Blogs you would find we are all against Bush actually.
To make a difference is to be yourself, and work to help people with a smile, with peace of heart with your help.
It will never be easy nor complete, but we are alive and that means to try.
Thought provoking and passionate, Casey dives into as a man experiencing his own mid-life transition to bring us this work of wisdom, stories, poetry and art. The Personal Tao has something for everyone, at any point in their life. Once you pick up this book, read it as a student, and your life will change. Thank you Casey for such wisdom. May all men and women have the courage as Casey did to embrace this challenging and transitional time of life and be so giving.
On as side note, I have mixed emotions about the recent news and changes you and your family are embarking on. I offer congratulates on your resignation. I sense more room will now be available for you to do what I have witnessed as your passion. The world has been waiting and you have answered that call. I will miss you.
You left a comment on my blog Sympathy for the Moon. I had a quick look at your site. Your view on taoism is very personal.
Two years ago I thought of making a web site on taoism. After six months of making notes I realised how arrogant such a notion was. How can I say more than what has already been said about taoism which is already too much!?
It's better to just live it.
